This website collects no personal data of its own. What is unavoidably recorded, and why, is set out here in full.

The governing law is the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) in the version in force since 1 September 2023. Where visitors from the EEA are concerned, the GDPR applies in addition.

Principle

This website is a plain information site. It runs no database, no accounts and no sessions. There is no login, no basket, no comment function, and no form that transmits anything to this website.

We consider that the most honest form of data protection: data that is never collected needs neither protecting nor deleting.

What this website does not use

  • No cookies. None are set, neither strictly necessary nor otherwise. That is why there is no cookie banner.
  • No web analytics. No Google Analytics, no Matomo, no Plausible, nothing comparable.
  • No tracking. No tracking pixels, no conversion tags, no fingerprinting, no advertising networks.
  • No third-party content. Fonts are served from our own server. No external scripts, no embedded video, no maps, no social media plugins. Your browser makes no connection to any third party when visiting this site.
  • No disclosure. No personal data is sold, rented, or passed on for advertising purposes.

Server log files

What is technically unavoidable: like every web server, ours records that a page was requested. This covers the IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the browser identification (user agent) and, where sent, the referring page.

These logs serve operation, fault diagnosis and the defence against attacks, and nothing else. They are not combined with other data, not analysed to reconstruct the behaviour of individuals, and not passed to third parties. The retention period follows our hosting provider’s configuration.

The legal basis is our overriding legitimate interest in the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website.

Contact form and email

The form on the contact page is deliberately not a conventional web form. It sends nothing to this website; it opens your own email program with the text prepared. No entry is transmitted to or stored on our server. The message is sent by you, from your own mailbox.

If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message solely in order to answer your enquiry. Correspondence is retained for as long as handling it and any follow-up requires, and within statutory retention periods.

Hosting

This website is operated by Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, on infrastructure located in Switzerland. In normal operation the data does not leave Switzerland.

Infomaniak processes the server log files described above as our processor. Infomaniak’s own privacy policy applies in addition.

Your rights

Within the scope of applicable law you have, in particular, the right to information about data processed about you, to correction of inaccurate data, to erasure, and to object to processing.

Because this website collects no personal data of its own, in practice such requests concern only any email correspondence with us. Please write to info@brightpath.ch.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

This policy describes the current, deliberately minimal state of the website. Should web analytics, a server-side contact form, appointment booking, a newsletter, or embedded third-party content be added, it will be extended accordingly beforehand.
